- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for Mississippi Readiness Sustainment Maintenance Site (MSRSMS) for the Turning of Drums for 5 ton 900 Series Trucks, NSN: 2530-01-271-8023, Part Number Meritor 3219S4829. This solicitation number W9127Q-06-T-0058 is issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation and incorporated provi sions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. This is 100% set aside for small business and is restricted in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(b). NAICS is 811111 Small Business Standard is $6.0 Million. The resultant contract will be a Requirements Contract. The period of performance will be 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. The estimated quantity is 4464 drum turns. (1) Vendor will inspect drums in accordance with manufacturer specifications prior to them being turn ed to insure they are not out of tolerance. (2) All drums that meet manufactures specifications will be resurfaced within the tolerable specifications stamped on the drums. (3) Drums that fall out of tolerance after they have been turned, the vendor will n ot charge the RSMS for this drum. (4) All unserviceable drums will be turned back into the RSMS site. (5) Drums resurfaced by the vendor that are found faulty will be returned to the vendor and the vendor will resurface the drums at no extra cost to the RS MS. (6) Price will include pick-up and deliver to RSMS. (7) The maximum number of drums per month is 340 and the minimum is 200. (8) POC FOR TECHNICAL QUESTIONS IS MR. WILLIE HINTON @ 601-558-2966.
