Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a delivery order to Phoenix Air Group, Inc. under Contract N00019-99-D-1278 for enclosed system upgrades and system installation to the G-1 Gulfstream aircraft for the U.S. Navy. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Information: The system upgrade shall consist of Computer Hardware System, Computer Control Software Operating System and Interface, System Monitor Box, Color Weather Radar, System Power Meter, Signal Generator, and System Spectrum Analyzer upgrades. Also, integration and testing of the upgrade system with all existing mission equipment (both Government and non-Government equipment), e.g., Standard IFF, TACAN , Large Area Tracking Range, and four High-power Jamming Subsystems, Steerable Antennas, Electronic Attack Technique Drivers, USQ-113, Radar Signal Receiver, HG Radio and Antenna, Forward Hemisphere Scanning 1 Band Weather Radio, UHF and VHF Radio and associated antennas, and Audio Recorder into the Contractor-owned aircraft. Phoenix Air Group, Inc. is the sole owner of the two (2) Contractor-owned G-1 Gulfstreams to be upgraded under N00019-99-1278. As such, Phoenix Air Group, Inc is the only known firm able to modify the necessary equipment and ensure the upgraded equipment adequately interfaces with the currently existing equipment already in place on the aircraft. Additional Information: The applicable North American Industy Classification System (NAICS) Code is 481219 Other Nonscheduled Air Transportation and the small business size standard is $6.5 million There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above.
