Description
On or about Friday, August 25, 2006, plans and specifications will be available at a non-refundable cost of $25 per set (CHECK OR MONEY ORDER, PAYABLE TO DISBURSING OFFICER, U.S. POSTAL SERVICE) from the Northeast Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Plans may be picked up at this address between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by requesting this solicitation package in writing to Northeast Facilities Service Office, Attention: Susan Lam, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, and equipment to expand the existing IPSS computer room and upgrade the air conditioning system at the Processing & Distribution Center, 1200 William Street, Erie County, Buffalo, New York. The estimated cost of the work is between $100,000 and $200,000 with construction completion no later than sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Award of this contract will be based on price and acceptable company health and safety plan. There will be no pre-proposal meeting for this project. On-site visits can be arranged by contacting Anthony Markut, Industrial Engineer, at (716) 846-2493. Technical inquires are to be addressed to the Project Manager Kenneth Kedzierski at (716) 695-3761 or Project Architect Robert Stelianou of Trautman Associates at (716) 883-4400. This is not a formal invitation for bid, therefore, no bid bond or proposal guarantee bond is required. All offerors will be required to submit a company health and safety plan which will be part of the evaluation process. Prior to award the successful contractor will be required to submit a project-specific safety plan acceptable to the USPS Contracting Officer. PROPOSALS ARE DUE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2006 AT 4:00 P.M.
