- This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a sources sought announcement and the Government will not provide reimbursement of costs associated with the documentation submitted under this request. This announcement is strictly for pre-Market Research purposes and may or may not actually lead to a solicitation/RFP release or contract. The United States Air Force, Air Force Medical Operational Agency, Alcohol/Drug Abuse Prevention/Treatment Office (AFMOA/SGOF), is seeking to identify sources for addiction counselor educational courses to counselors in the U.S. Air Force. The following courses shall be packaged as one unit for the Air Force: (1) Theory and Practice of Addiction Counseling; (2) Advanced Ethics; (3) Pharmacology Update 2006; (4) ASAM 101; (5) Understanding the Addictive Process. Counseling Functions: (6) Individual Counseling Skills; (7) Case Management and Referral Services; (8) Crisis Management; (9) Screening and Patient Placement; (10) Treatment Planning and Documentation. All businesses capable of providing these services are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. If interested in this proposed acquisition the government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size, business status (i.e., small business, disabled veteran, disadvantaged, HUB zone, woman-owned), anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers and pricing. Include contract magnitude and points of contact for each example provided (name of the point of contact (POC), address, e-mail, telephone number, fax number, and the company's web page, if applicable). Please limit your response to not more than 10 single-sided pages. Submission shall include one electronic (virus scanned) copy sent via e-mail to the POCs listed under Original Point of Contact. Contract performance period is unknown at this time. The Government is contemplating award of a Firm Fixed Price requirements contract. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code we anticipate using is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. This Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 - Market Research. If a firm believes they are capable of fully satisfying the Government requirements, they may identify their interest, capability and pricing in Microsoft word format by 4:30 pm (local) on September 05, 2006.
