Description

This is a notice of intent to issue an order to AXCERA, 103 Freedom Drive, PO Box 525, Lawrence, PA 15055-0525 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for 1 EA Transmitter System Axcera Model No. 320A W/OPTS and 1 KT Spare Parts Kit, Axcera Model No. 320A-RPL, for use with Axcera 320A transmitter system. Rationale for restrictive competition as follows: (1) item must interface with existing equipment; (2) item is a component of a standardized system; (3) item is a spare, repair or replacement part; (4) previous training on this equipment. This announcement constitutes the only notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the closing date specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
