Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice to synopsize the window film removal and installation requirement at Arnold Hall, US Air Force Academy, Colorado. Work includes removing existing window film, cleaning window surface, and providing, delivering and installing new window film. Total window surface is estimated at 5,500 square feet. The contractor provides the supervision, personnel, vehicles, equipment to include scaffolding and/or high rise lift, tools, materials, and other items or services necessary. Generally, window film shall provide protection from flying debris and sun exposure. Film must meet Safety Glazing Standard CPSC 16 CFR, Category II (400 ft./lb.) and ANSI Z97.1, and pass Intensified Weathering Test. Minimum film thickness shall be .006 inches nominal. Additional specifications will be published in follow-on solicitation. Solicitation is set aside for total small business. Applicable NAICS code is 238150, Glass and Glazing Contractors. Size standard is 13 mil. Offers will be evaluated by price. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive award. It is anticipated that the request for quote will be issued on or about 29 Aug 06, and will be available by internet on FedBizOpps.
