Description
The following questions, with coresponding answers are provided: 1. How many tablets are we packaging; the communication says 7600 packets, but you referenced 48m. What is the pack-out? The tablets have been ground into a powder and sieved. We will provide the vendor with sufficient powder to produce in excess of 7600 packets. 48M is part of the product number for the aluminized packaging material itself; GP-48M/25 or equivalent must be used; it has nothing to do with the number of packets. I don't know what "pack-out" means, so I can't answer this one. 2. Is dry nitrogen flushing required? Dry nitrogen flushing is required for both the polyethylene packet that will hold the powder as well as the aluminized packet that will hold the silica gel packets and the filled polyethylene packet. 3. Where does the silica gel packets go? The silica gel packets go inside the aluminized packets, along with the filled polyethylene packet. 4. Why are different weights sited for packing; (2.5 g vs 2.6 g)? We want each packet to contain nominally 2.5 g, therefore the packets should be filled with 2.6 g of powder, weighed with an accuracy of 0.1 g. This way, 2.6 g plus/minus 0.1 g will ensure us that we have at least 2.5 g (and possibly as much as 2.7 g) in each packet. 5. What is the finished good timing Completion as stated in the requirements. This solicitation is hereby amended as follows: The due date for this solicitation is changed from August 31, 2006 to September 5, 2006. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
