Description
We are seeking vendors interested in providing the following services: On-Site Maintenance, Repair, and Calibration (scheduled/preventive and unscheduled) of the following equipment: 1) FTIR Spectrometer with WIN IR PRO Software Package, Model # FTS 575C and 2) UMA 500 Microscope, Model # UMA 500 Statement of Work: The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and emergency repairs as required by manufacturer's official publications (such as service manuals and standard service contract stipulations) to keep the equipment in functional condition. The contractor shall furnish all labor, travel parts, and materials necessary to accomplish the foregoing at a basic annual rate. 2. Preventive (scheduled) maintenance shall be performed once per year and will included (but not be limited to) cleaning and replacement of worn or questionable components; calibration of the detectors and associated data circuits; verification of nominal instrument performance spectral resolution); verification of software performance; and verification of nominal power supply performance. Contractor shall contact designated government representative and establish date and time to perform preventive maintenance. Government representative shall have final approval of the date and time for contractor to perform maintenance. 3. The contractor shall provide an unlimited number of unscheduled emergency repair service calls. Once notified that a problem exists the contractor is expected to respond within five working days and continue working until the problem is resolved. The services (scheduled an unscheduled) will normally be performed between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pom EST, Monday through Friday, excluding government holidays. 4. Repair of covered items shall be accomplished on-site if possible. If any item cannot be repaired on-site, it will be removed from the system and shipped to the appropriate repair center or hand delivered by the contractor at no additional cost to the government. In the event that an item cannot be repaired, the contractor shall inform the designated point of contact (government representative) in advance of replacement. 5. EXCLUSIONS: The contractor shall not be responsible for the replacement of components considered to be consumable. 6. No special security requirements exist for this contract.
