Description
In the following sources sought synopsis, General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, Gulf Coast Service Center seeks potential sources for a government acquisition for exterior restoration at the Bob Casey Federal Building/Courthouse, 515 Rusk Avenue, Houston, TX. NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. This request for information is being used as a marketing research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential 8(a) Small Business concerns for the pending solicitation. Based on a review of the industry responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will decide whether it is appropriate to offer the solicitation as an 8(a) Small Business set-aside. The Government is not obligated to nor will pay for any information received from any potential sources as a result of this synopsis. The anticipated North American Industries Classification System (NAICS) code is 238140 and the small business size standard is $12 million. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supervision required to perform work required within the construction documents. Work shall include, but not be limited to the following items of work as a minimum: 1. Remove and replace existing sealants and backer rod at all control joints, window frames, door frames, and at all joints between differential materials in the exterior walls with specified backer rods and sealants; 2. Trim all glazing gaskets and wet seal all glass to window frame joints with specified silicon sealant; 3.Inspect all mortar joints. Rake-out and re-point deteriorated, damaged, and missing mortar joints; 4.Repair all cracks and spalls located in the limestone fa?ade; 5. Modify/repair/reseal all penetrations located in the fa?ade; 6. Furnish specified contractors two (2) year warranty covering materials and workmanship to correct leaks or defects in the installed work for the designated warranty period. Your company is required to perform at least eight-five (85) percent of the work with your own organization. Please submit a capabilities statement indicating your interest and ability to meet the aforementioned requirements. Please include the name and address of your firm, whether you are a large or small business, a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax, and e-mail; your ability experience and familiarity with the previously mentioned items by including past performance references of organizations that you have accomplished similar projects for. Please include contract #, delivery method, types of contracts, POC?s to include names and phone number of clients. All offerors must have an active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), which may be obtained at www.ccr.gov. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis. The Federal Business Opportunities, www.eps.gov, will be the primary source of information for this acquisition.
