Description

The Department of Defense Dependents Schools-Pacific/Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DoDDS-P/DDESS-Guam) intends to issue a Purchase Order to Kurzweil Educational Systems, Inc. for the upgrade of existing Color Lab Packs to Kurzweil 3000 Standalone Color Lab Packs NT Version 9 (46 each) and Learn Station Windows Network licenses (55 each) on a Firm-Fixed-Price Other Than Full and Open Competition basis. Kurzweil 3000 is currently in use in all DoDEA schools throughout the world. Kurzweil 3000 is the only product that employs a multi-sensory approach to improving student?s reading performance by highlighting a sentence, paragraph, line or phrase in one color and highlighting each word in another color as it is read aloud. Kurzweil is the manufacturer and the only company who can upgrade DoDDS-P/DDESS-Guam?s existing Kurzweil Packs. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination within 30 days from effective date of Purchase Order. Award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. Any firms believing that they can provide the upgrades and licenses listed above may submit a written response to the Procurement Office no later than five days after this notification is published. All responses shall include adequate information to support they can provide the upgrades and licenses mentioned above within the required 30 days from date of order. All requests must reference RFQ Number HE1260-06-T-7005. Responses must be e-mailed to dppd@pac.dodea.edu .
