- The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 1 NSN. This proposed procurement includes items within the Federal Supply Class 4730. See Note(s): 9 and 26. The requirement will result in an award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract for which delivery orders may be placed for one (1) year. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about 20 September 06 at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning for a 1B drawing item. This requires engineering source approval by the design control activity. Suitable technical data, Government rights or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be obtained. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period on or more items at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted with full and open competition.
