Description
The National Institute for Literacy (the Institute) intends to enter into a 2-year contract with qualified entities to disseminate information on the findings from scientifically based reading research in accordance with the provisions stated in the No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-110, Part B, Section 1207(a)(1)). Eligible applicants include organizations, institutions, agencies, institutions of higher education, or partnerships among such entities, or individuals with the demonstrated ability to capacity to carry out the activity authorized under this statute. The Institute intends to focus the activities of this contract on disseminating information on scientifically based reading research pertaining to younger children. The approximate date of release of the RFP is August 21, 2006, and the approximate date of closing in September 19, 2006.
