- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida is soliciting a contractor to provide Optometrist Services. These services are to be performed on federal inmates within a secure correctional environment. This requirement is a 100% set-a-side for small business. This will be an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with a firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantages quote to the government based upon Best Value. The government may make awards without discussions; therefore, offerors are instructed to submit their best offer. The resulting contract will consist of a twelve(12) month base period and two(2) twelve(12) month option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of one hour sessions is estimated at 192 for the base year and each option period. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty hours. Sessions are to be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The solicitation will be available on or about August 8, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. All future information regarding this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov.
