- This announcement is a Market Survey/Request for Information. This announcement IS NOT A DOWN-SELECT OR QUALIFICATION SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL of any kind. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541512 (Computer Systems Design Services) with a size standard of $23M. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any submission received from industry in response to this Market Survey. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense. The purpose of this Market Survey/Request for Information is to obtain an understanding of the current marketplace, receive information on available technology and innovative approaches that fulfills agency mission needs, and enhance insight into industry capabilities and best practices. Excessively elaborate responses containing marketing materials are not desired and may be discarded without review. One, some, all, or none of the respondents to the Market Survey/Request for Information may be requested to provide additional information at the option of the Government. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise for future business with the FAA. Information obtained from responses to Attachment A will be used to support the development of an acquisition strategy for the ATO's Information Technology environment. This market survey will assist in obtaining the information necessary to aid the FAA in its determination as to whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, small businesses (8(a) certified and other small businesses) or whether it is more appropriate to conduct this procurement as a full and open competition. In order to make this determination the FAA requires responses to Attachment A from interested vendors: Attached is the present working copy of the statement of work. The functions identified therein are to be continued throughout the period of performance. This document is being provided to give interested vendors a better understanding of the requirements of this procurement. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and limited to no more than 26 pages. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Responses must be received no later than noon (ET) on August 25, 2006. Vendors also must complete the attached Business Declaration Form and include it in the same e-mail (preferred) or fax (form only) it to 202.267.5149. If applicable, a copy of the interested vendors 8(a) Certification Form. This should include all necessary signatures and its expiration date.
