- Description
- The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to seek competent and qualified contractors to install Communication Cable and Ductbank at the RCAG facilities located at (3)Whidbey Island and (2) Naselle Washington and (1) Scappoose Oregon. The Screening Information Request (SIR) is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (NAICS 238210). Description of Work: The Federal Aviation Administration, Northwest Mountain Region intends to negotiate a contract for all work associated with the removal and proper disposal of existing communication cables, junction boxes, swing arms, handholes, safety rails, cable supports and other miscellaneous items. Second phase of the project is the construction and installation of new ductbank and communication cable systems; each approximately 50 to 100 feet in length from each tower to the equipment shelter. Supply and install conduits, concrete, handholes, pull ropes, warning tape, etc per SOW (scope of work). Installation includes GFE (government furnished equipment) which consists of Heliax cable, junction boxes and antenna swing arms & brackets. The Contractor will be required to perform an electrical startup procedure for each of the systems that are installed. Project work is located inside the RCAG area of operations and activities must be coordinated with the Site Operations Staff and the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower. Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 63 working days. Mandatory Site Visits are scheduled: Scappoose, OR on August 9, 2006 at 9:00 Naselle, WA on August 9, 2006 at 1:00 pm Whidbey Island, WA on August 10, 2006 at 10:00am. Estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $200,000.
