Description

RETROFIT SYSTEM: The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0141. The proposed contract is for the purchase of ONE (1) item as follows: CLIN 0001: ProtoTRAK SMX2 Retrofit System with the following accessories and options: Advanced Features SMX, Converter, DXF File, TRAKing/Electronic Handwheels, Knee Mill, Networking and Memory Option, and Installation ? PTSMX2. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Southwestern Industries, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
