- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-09 (19 Apr 2006) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20060412. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is to acquire lodging for 20 overseas attendees for the period of 28 Apr 2007 thru 05 May 2007 and lodging for 100 attendees for the period of 29 Apr 2007 thru 05 May 2007 for a total of 120 attendees. The government will only pay for those rooms occupied by appropriate designated Air Force Attendees. One conference room for Monday, 30 Apr 2007 will be set up conference style to accommodate 30 FAPAs with adequate space between tables from 0800 - 1700. One conference room for 120 FAPAs will be set up conference room style for Tuesday, 1 May 2007 from 0800 ? 1700. No obstacles in conference room such as pillars to obstruct view. A table with three (3) chairs placed outside the conference room area for registration use from 0700 ? 1700 for Monday, 30 Apr 2007 and 0700 ? 0900 for Tuesday, 1 May 2007. For Monday, 30 Apr 2007 one meeting presenters accessory ballroom package and one (1) podium without a microphone. For Tuesday, 1 May 2007 ? one (1) meeting presenters accessory ballroom package, one (1) additional 10? cradle screen; one (1) professional podium microphone; one (1) UHF wireless microphone; one (1) podium; one (1) 32?/54? additional projector cart w/skirt; and a mixer. A riser at the front of the room with the podium placed thereon. Conference facility should be capable of projecting sound throughout the conference sessions and contain a screen capable of projecting so that material can be seen throughout the general session. Air Force will provide their laptop computer and infocus machine with operator. The contractor will provide the government with only the equipment and services used as required and authorized by the HQ FAP office. HQ FAP will provide pertinent listing of attendees within 60 days prior to the start of the conference. Lodging and conference facility MUST be within a one (1) mile radius of the Hyatt Regency McCormic Place, 2233 S. Martin Luther King Drive, Chicago IL 60616 as this two-day conference is in conjunction with the CYFAR Conference already being held at this hotel for the period of 2 May 2007 thru 4 May 2007. The type of contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000. A due date for offers will be 4:30 pm, Central Standard Time, 11 August 2006.
