Description
Q: For Level 3 workstations, are they a "U" station or a "L". The SOW is not specific and this could change pricing drastically. A: If I am interpreting your question correctly, then it is a ???U??? than an ???L???. Q: For Building 12-What size stations for the Level 5?, 8x8 or 8x10? A: Bldg 12 is not ???typical??? as in Section B. Please refer to Section 3.10.1 of Delivery Order #2. Q: Where is the main entranceway for visitors for bulding 12? The SOW is calling for a few reception type stations outside of offices, there is no statement in the SOW as to where they should go. A: Please refer to Amendment #13 for specifics regarding Bldg 12 Admin/Reception. The SOW is ???general??? for the life of the contract. Q: In building 12-which room is the conference room? There is no label, also, what size table is needed, there is no size specified in the SOW. A: Please refer to Amendment #13. Please see requirements under 3.10.3 under Delivery Order #2 for requirements. Thoroughly identify all details of your solution in your proposal. Q: How many private offices in building 12? The SOW is not specific as to which is the lab and which are private. A: Please refer to Amendment #13 and Delivery Order #2. Q: How important is it to have a universal connector? A: Very. Q: What do you consider a universal connector? A: Metal connectors that join steel frames for quick installation and stability. If a cubicle needs to be moved, it should not affect the entire unit/group. A cubicle can be added and another connection can be made while the walls stay in place. Q: Ethospace is listed as an approved product for this solicitation, but yet you state that the thickness of the panel can be no thicker than 2-1/4" and the Technology Wall can not exceed 5". Ethospace's thickness (for both) is 3- 1/2". Does this product still qualify? A: Yes. It was NOT our intention to exclude any manufacturer based on any panel thicknesses, but to ensure equivalent QUALITY across the various product lines. In general, the salient features of the system quality for office furniture of the product lines listed in Section 3.6 are acceptable. "Strict adherence to the salient features" is for functionality and quality. Q: On page 15, the level 3 station specs state that the furniture needs to be free standing, but on page 19 there is no mention of the workstation being free standing furniture. Can you please verify which it should be? A: Page 15, Level 3, is in the Statement of Work (SOW) and "general" requirements for the life of the contract. Level 3 can be either free standing OR system furniture based on the requirements in each Delivery Order. Page 19 is specific to Bldg 94 and in Delivery Order #1. Q: Section 3.9.1.1 Acoustic Requirements Per GSA document FCNE 87-441E, dated June 3, 2003, for a panel to be considered ???acoustical??? it must have and NRC= 0.65. If we provide a panel that meets these GSA guidelines for acoustical panels, would that be acceptable A: No. 0.65 is less absorptive to sound. Noise is a critical factor. Q: 3.9.1.3 Would panel heights with 12??? increments be acceptable? For instance, are heights of 30???, 42???, 56???, 66???, 78??? which are currently used at Picatinny considered to be acceptable? A: The panel heights listed in 3.9.1.3 provides more options than you have listed. Increments of 12??? would be more costly for the Government, than one large panel. However, if you GUARANTEE no additional cost to the Government and that the stacked 12??? panels are as sturdy and structurally compatible in terns of stability and safety, then it is acceptable. Q: 3.9.1.4 Can the nominal panel thickness exceed 2-1/4???? For instance, is a 3 inch panel thickness like those currently installed at Picatinny acceptable? A: If the systems quality meets or exceeds the quality on Page 5, Section 3.6 of the SOW, then the ???to-scale space plan??? submitted with your proposal will serve to correct for the variations. Q: 3.9.2 Add on panels Are add-on panels/tiles in height increments of 12??? acceptable? For example are panel add-on units of 12???, 24???, 36???, etc. acceptable? A: If you GUARANTEE no additional cost to the Government and that the panels are as sturdy and structurally compatible in terns of stability and safety, then it is acceptable. Q: 3.9.4 Doors Provided that 80??? high doors meet the solid door requirements, can the 64??? Sliding doors which will attach to the panel systems be translucent? (given that most people can see over them anyway) A: No. The two heights are required to accommodate those buildings with special requirements and taller panels. Delivery Order #1 for Bldg 94 requires sliding doors in the 80??? height since the partitions must be a minimum of 80??? (see page 20, under Section 3.10.3). Q: End tables, "curved 45 degree end table" what is quantity, do they get positioned with the 10 90 degree end tables? A: Please check D.O. #2 and amendments. Q: Do the forty 30 x 60 laboratory tables become part of the 51 workstations ,and are they an auxiilary work surface to be included in the workstation? If that is the case is there a description for that job level workstation description including that 30 x 60 table. A: No. Q: or are the computer tables meant to be only used in open common areas....? ??? A: Please read D.O. #2 and Amendment #13. Q: Can you please advise minuimum table requirment for the three lab tables in each of the open plan rooms? A: Refer to D.O. #2 and Amendments. Q: There are no files in building 94, are the files in building 12 meant to go into the file room or on the open floorplan. A: The files in Bldg 12 are meant to go on the open floor plan in available space. Q: Could some of the level descriptions, ie: level 2 in building 12, relate only to South side of building? A: No Q: please indicate more clearly what is required of bulding 12 level 2, as on page 21, it states no furniture requierd, but on page 15 there is a description of level 2 furniture requiements for building 12. A: - Page 15 is ???general??? in the SOW for the life of the contract. - Requirements specific to Bldg 12 are in Delivery Order #2 and some of the amendments. - Section B, beginning on page 26 are ???typicals???
