Description

The Bureau of Reclamation Snake River Area Office in Burley, ID has a requirement for Seed Mixture for re-seeding rehab lands. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR 12.6, as supplemented in accordance with the format included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation.The Request for Quotes (RFQ) is being issued as 06SQ140083; and proposals (including the completed FAR 52.212-03 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, if not registered in ORCA) are due on August 24, 2006. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-12. This is a total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 424910 Farm Supplies Merchant Wholesalers, the small business standard is 100 employees. Contact Amada Renken at 208- 678-0461 ext. 28 or arenken@pn.usbr.gov. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation on or about August 31, 2006, that is most advantageous to the Government. THE REQUIREMENT: Seed mixture for re-seeding 564 acres of rehab lands in Minidoka County; the seed mixture shall be composed of the following seed mix, mixed with rice hulls; Bluebunch Wheatgrass (Snake River variety) @ 4 lbs/acre; Buckwheat @ 1 lb/acre; Big sagebrush @ 3 lbs/acre;Vavilov Siberian @ 2 lbs/acre; Hycrest @ 2.5 lbs/acre; Great Basin Wild Rye @ 2 lbs/acre.
