- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Regional Acquisition Office intends to issue a Request for Quote (06SQ201076) for a firm-fixed price purchase order to provide weed abatement services for multiple Central California Area Office facilities. The weed abatement services shall be performed at the Folsom, Nimbus and New Melones Projects, which are located in Sacramento, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties, California, respectively. The Contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment and materials to perform weed abatement by the chemical application of herbicides and other surfactants to the surface soils on project lands. The term of the contract shall be October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007, with an option to extend the contract term for two (2) additional one-year periods. Award will be issued as a total small-business set-aside and award will be made to the contractor whose offer represents the best value to the Government, based on price, technical merit and past performance. All work shall be performed by a contractor licensed and permitted by the State of California Department of Agriculture. The contractor also must be licensed and/or permitted to perform such activities in Sacramento, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561710, with a small-business size standard of $6.5M. Further technical information will be provided at the time the solicitation is issued. It is anticipated that the estimated issuance date of Solicitation number 06SQ201076 and the Statement of Work will be on or about August 21, 2006. The solicitation will be posted and can be downloaded at http://ideasec.nbc.gov or http://www.bpn.gov/. The estimated quote due date will be on or about September 12, 2006. Purchase order 06PG201076 will be issued on or about September 18, 2006. Effective October 1, 2003, all prospective contractors seeking to be awarded a government contract must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR), prior to award. Contractors may register at http://www.ccr.gov. Failure to register will make an offeror ineligible for receipt of an award. Effective January 1, 2005, any contractor submitting a quotation, offer or proposal to the Government must complete their Representations and Certifications online. All the representations and certifications which used to be submitted within Section K are now located online.
