Description
THIS IS NOT A SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION. THIS RFQ IS OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALLBUSINESS (ESTIMATED PRICE IS RANGE IS BETWEEN $25,000.00 AND $100,000.00. AWARD WILL BE PROCESSED PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. The site of the work is at the Rainwater Basin Wetland Management District, Kearney, Nebraska PROJECT PURPOSE & DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to convert a well powered by a diesel engine to electricity, and to convert the turbine pump to a submersible. This will provide the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service with a safe, quiet, and maintenance free pumping station that can operate more economical due to rising fuel costs. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide a new electric submersible pump on Funk Waterfowl Production Area, Well Registration No. G-035025. Contractor will be responsible for removing the existing equipment and to install new PVC casing, submersible pump and drop pipe. The well output will be required to meet a minimum of 1800 gallons per minute. LOCATION: The project site is the Funk Waterfowl Production Area, Range 17 W, Township 6 N, Section 10, southeast corner of southeast quarter, Phelps County, Nebraska. (See Map) which is managed by the Rainwater Basin Wetland Management District (WMD). The address of the Rainwater WMD headquarters is P.O. Box 1686, Kearney, NE 68848. Driving Directions: From Funk Nebraska, go 2 miles east on Highway 6,2 114 north on V Road. Well is located on the west side of road. The Contractor is urged to visit the site and become familiar with existing conditions. Failure to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government.
