- The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, (GGNRA) has identified a requirement to demolish and remove a unit at Muir Woods National Monument, Mill Valley, Ca. The successful contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to complete the demolition project. Demolition will include roof, siding, structure and interior furnishings. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http:ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. Project Description: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: (a) Demolition of unit to include interior furnishings. (b) Demolition of foundation. (c) Removal of rubbish from site. (d) Demolition and Removal of all utilitiy lines. (e) Removal of rubble surrounding unit. This procurement is restricted to Total HUB-Zone SetAside. The National Park Service welcomes the participation of Women Owned and Minority Firms, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB). This is not a Request for Proposal. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued o/a August 21, 2006 with a closing date of o/a September 21, 2006. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 36, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code for this project is 238910. Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government.
