Description

In accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation and Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Replace Slate Roofing and Structural Repairs - Historic Beauregard House at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve (Chalmette Battlefield - Saint Bernard Parish) Chalmette, Louisiana. This project consists of resorting a weatherproof roof system and provide limited exterior storm damage repairs to the multistory historic structure. This requirement is NOT a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160; the size standard is $7.0 million. Estimated price range: between $250,000 and $500,000. Tentative issue date of the Solicitation is August 18, 2006. There will be a Pre-Bid meeting held on August 24, 2006 at the construction site at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST). All interested parties desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the following websites -The Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) - http://ideasec.nbc.gov/ and the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) - http://www.ccr.gov. You must register at both websites. RFP documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF formats. HARD COPIES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. A firm fixed price contract will be issued, with a performance period of 60 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. Anticipated award date is September 19, 2006.
