Description

In accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The work consists of providing all necessary labor, equipment, material and services to create a historically accurate reproduction of an 18-pounder naval cannon. The final project will include the cannon barrel or tube, the naval carriage and the associated implements. The cannon will meet safety specifications for live firing. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 332995 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. A firm fixed price contract will be issued. All interested parties desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the following websites: Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) - http://ideasec.nbc.gov and the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) - http://www.ccr.gov. A Request For Quotation with specifications will be issued on or about August 21, 2006 and made available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF formats.
