- The Survivability and Weapons Effect Department, Underwater Explosions Research and Development (UERD) Project Office of the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD) is responsible for executed Underwater Explosion (UNDEX) test. In support of this effort, NSWCCD intends to negotiate a competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm-fixed price purchase order. This requirement is for various ropes, shackles, masterlinks, assorted hard riggings and slings. The shackles, masterlinks and assorted hard riggings must be Crosby; no substitutions. Crosby has worked closely with UERD in the past in supporting the design of special rigging required for non-standard UNDEX test. Crosby ensures that our rigging is tested and labeled according to NAVSEA OP5 Vol.1 Rev.6, a strict compliance document for explosive rigging and meets other criteria specific to individual UNDEX test. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to the Government POC on or before 8/14/2006.
