- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is being requested. Solicitation number N62786-06-T-0033 applies. Quotes must be received by 12:00 p.m. on August 18, 2006. The RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-11 and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20060711. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business. The Government intends to negotiate with and award to only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an other than full and open competitive basis to Padgett-Swann Machinery, 5128 S. 36th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33619. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before 31 August 2006. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336415. SUPSHIP Bath has a requirement to contract for the following item: Item 0001: Fabricate AQ-22 HS Shaft, 5 1/4" x 19'. Shaft is to have a standard propeller taper on one end. Shaft will have bronze flange and jam nuts for the propeller end and a stainless steel propeller key, Qty: 1 Each; Item 0002: Fabricate Manganese Bronze propeller, 64" x 50" four (4) blade, RH, Style "T" with a 5" standard bore, Qty: 1 Each. Vendor must provide valid Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, DUNS number and Tax ID Number. To be eligible for award, vendor must be properly registered in the Central Contractor Registry at www.ccr.gov. The following provisions/clauses apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1; FAR 52.212-2; FAR 52.212-3; FAR 52.212-4; and FAR 52.212-5. Numbered note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to so licit and negotiate with only one source under authority of 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
