Description
NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Final Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Configuration & Data Management (C&DM) Services procurement. The Draft RFP was posted under No. NNM06159470J on July 7, 2006. An Industry Briefing was held on July 13, 2006. The anticipated release date of the Final RFP is on or about August 11 or August 14, 2006 with an anticipated offer due date on or about September 6, 2006 for the Past Performance volume and September 18, 2006 for the remaining proposal volumes. All responsible sources may submit an offer to the Final RFP which shall be considered by the agency. The C&DM Services procurement is a follow-on to the current C&DM Services contract, NAS8-01121, with the addition of some new requirements. The C&DM Services contractor will be required to provide C&DM personnel to support various MSFC Directorates, Offices, and Programs/Projects. The services apply primarily to MSFC Programs/Projects developing flight, qualification, and ground support equipment hardware/software. Period of performance encompasses a 1-year base period and 4 1-year options currently anticipated to begin February 1, 2007. The contract will be a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee (CPAF) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type. A copy of the Industry Briefing charts and an Updated Interested Parties List is provided with this synopsis. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1000 employees, respectively. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/MSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=62 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
