This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 423430. The reference number for this Request for Quote (RFQ) is Solicitation # HM165306T0025. The NGA plans to issue a purchase order with a Firm Fixed Price under the test program described in FAR Part 13.5. The requirement is for the following items: Part # NM-1/622SMIRE. Description - 4-PORT OC-3C, SMIR, SC CONN. Qty = 20. Part # SUPP-S-3. Description - SUPP-S-3 Maintenance (12 Months) For: NM-4/155SMIRE. Qty = 20. Part # BXR-ATM16/622IR1. Description - 16-PORT OC-12C/STM-4 AND/OR OC-3C/STM-1 ATM PORT CARD, SMF, INTER REACH - 1310 NM, LC CONNS. Qty = 4. Part # SUPP-S-3. Description - SUPP-S-3 Maintenance (12 Months) For: BXR-ATM16/622IR1. Qty = 4. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: Ericsson Corporation, dba Marconi Federal, Inc., network equipment and technology have been a vital element in the NGA Enterprise Network (NEN) backbone since 1987. Ericsson network equipment and ATM technology is the standard of the NEN Wide Area Network (WAN) architecture. These Ericsson internal switch and router modules will be installed into existing Ericsson switches and routers. They are required for Form, Fit, and Function. Other manufacturers components will not operate internally in Ericsson devices. Ericsson Maintenance is required for these components. Other maintenance providers do not have access to Ericsson proprietary parts. VENDORS SUBMITTING QUOTES MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER OF ERICSSON/MARCONI FEDERAL, INC. PARTS AND PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF THAT AUTHORIZATION ALONG WITH THEIR QUOTE. Vendor shall quote all or none of the listed items. Only vendors submitting quotes for all the items will be considered responsive. The Government will award one contract resulting from this combination synopsis/solicitation to the responsible vendor with the lowest quoted price. Delivery for all items is FOB Destination to SPAWAR Systems Center, 53560 Hull St., San Diego, CA 92152-5001. Total cost shall include all shipping and handling. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, with no obligation to the vendor by the Government. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11.
