- Description
- The Government intends to acquire a commercially available service using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This publication serves as a notice of intent to procure, on a sole-source basis, with Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC). The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) requires the development of a web-based data server for geo-referenced data in the California Current Large Marine ecosystem. The goal is of this work is to use the existing information to provide an integrated habitat and groundfish database that is compliant with the Data Management and Coordination (DMAC) guidelines outlined by the National Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) team and to provide new data such as bycatch and trawl survey information to the database.The period of performance will be one year. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with the PSMFC, as we believe this is the only source with the geo-referenced data, unique expertise, qualifications and experience to perform the work. All interested concerns must submit documentation in writing demonstrating they can access the date, has the capability, expertise, qualifications and experience to perform the necessary work to Sharon Kent, NOAA, WRAD, 7600 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle WA.
