Description

***The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Rubert and Company Limited in the United Kingdom for the reproduction of standard casings.*** The new casings will be subjected to identical conditions as the previously procured casings from Rubert. The casing will be used to document the decay process. To ensure data integrity and data compatibility, the casings must be reproduced by the same company using the same design and process. The designs are proprietary to Rubert. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 60 days after receipt of order.*** ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339999, and the size standard is 500 employees.*** ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by September 06, 2006.*** A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
