- The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to negotiate and award a modification to the exisiting contract award no. HHSI242200500076C with the National Congress of American Indians NCAI will continue to implement, operate and evaluate diabetes prevention initiatives with the Native American Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Experience in providing support services to tribal youth organizations, education agencies and other tribal programs for the benefit of children and youth is required. Familarity with this diabetes prevention initiative, the implemention, and evalution of the "Together Raising Awareness for Indian Life" curriculum is essential. A seamless flow of service is needed to prevent problems in data collection and evaluation of this initiative. The contract will continue for twelve (12) months commencing on September 29, 2006 to prevent any disruption of on-going service disruption. This announcement is for informational purposes only and there will not be a Request for Proposal (RFP) released.
