- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Consolidated Operations Acquisition Center (COAC) intends to purchase an Advanced Microscopy Techniques (AMT) brand name XR111 CCD Camera System(P/N XR611-Combo-002) for a Joel TEM instrument. The purchase includes installation and training and a one (1) year warranty agreement from the date of installation of the product. The brand name determination is based upon the Government?s requirements for an AMT camera which offers a field of view with an area of 5600 mm sq., equal to 75% of the area that is presently recorded on film. The NHLBI plans to convert the JEOL electron microscope in building 50, room 3311 from film image recording to digital. The lab requires a high resolution bottom mount CCD camera with a field of view that approximates that of the film. The AMT XR-111, meets the entire requirement for efficiency and is the only known instrument that meets the Government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, and Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. The small business set-aside does not apply for this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the product in this synopsis should submit a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The Offeror must also register in the Government?s Contractor Registry System, note: www.ccr.gov . The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PB-(HL)-2006-304-DDC. Quotations will be due ten (10) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or September 6, 2006, 8:30 p.m., local time, whichever is later. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Office of Acquisitions, Procurement Branch, Rockledge Building 2, Room 6143, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention Deborah Coulter, Contract Specialist. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
