SilverHawk catheters are patent protected, FDA approved, for the removal of plaque from peripheral arteries. The government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 (b). The NAICS Code (339112) and the small business size standard for this procurement is 500 employees. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 8:00am August 30, 2006. Such information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
