- NON-PERSONAL SERVICES: The Air Force intends to award a sole source task order to Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (MTI) under the Design & Engineering Support Program (DESP II) on their Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) FA8222-05-D-0007 for the following service: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, services, transportation and incidentals necessary to provide AVCOM application and database maintenance for B-52, B-1B, B2, KC-135, CSW and E-3 AWACS and other designated users for the purpose of assessing obsolescence risk. The Contractor shall populate, manage and maintain the AVCOM database in accordance with the Contractual Engineering Task (CET) for a period of 12 months after receipt of the task order. A Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) task order is contemplated. The estimated award date is 26 Sep 06. Central Contractor Registration is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at http://www.ccr.gov. ORCA registration is also required and contractors can register electronically at https://orca.bpn.gov. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
