Description
Changes made to this solicitation change the size of the canopy to 40 ft by 80 ft, add the 10 springlers and three lights to the installation area and inform vendors the need to bring their own lift to install this bird netting. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Firm fixed pricing is requested. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-012. This posting is to inform potential providers that Dover Air Force Base, Delaware has a requirement to purchase one (1) bird-netting canopy to include installation to cover 40 feet by 80 feet area. This canopy will be installed under an existing receiving dock overhang. Netting to be composed of polyethylene knotless net (3.4 inches), which carries a 10-year comprehensive guarantee against faulty workmanship, materials and holes made by bird strikes. Netting to be pre-stretched in factory under 9 tons of tension and at a temperature which exceeds boiling point so it will never stretch or sag over the life of the product. There are 10 sprinklers and three lights shown in the attached pictures that will need zippers installed in the bird netting to gain access to these sprinklers and lights. All mounting hardware and materials to be made of stainless steel. Contractor must supply the lift to install this bird netting. This requirement is for same or like item. The total price should include cost of travel, labor, materials, insurance and licenses. The Delaware Wage Determination (Rev 22) is attached since the Service Contract Act applies to this requirement. A site visit can be requested if needed. The details of contract: Only small businesses are eligible for award. The North American Industry Classification system code is 561710. The small business size cannot exceed $6.5 Million.
