- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F3Z3686227A100; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12 and Defense DCN 20060808. This acquisition will be a 100% small business set-aside; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423440. The business size standard is 500 Employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7125. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2542. This request for quotation consists of the following or equal: Item 0001: Qty, 1 LOT, Solid Plastic Lockers, 12 x 18 x 72 inches, 169 frames of single tier lockers with hooks, 18 compatible end panels to match lockers, 2 filler panels, color: royal blue, Mfg: COMTEC Industries, Model: TuffTec Lockers or equal. Item 0002: Qty, 1 LOT, Installation, removal of 169 existing lockers and installation of 169 new lockers (award of line item 0002 will be optional at the discretion of the Government). Also includes: standard padlock hasp, standard coat hook, number disc, and complete installation instructions. Additional notes: Locker doors and door frames shall be made from high impact, high density polyethylene (HDPE) formed under high pressure into solid plastic components 1/2 inch thick. Sides, tops, bottoms, backs, and shelves shall be made from high impact, high density, polyethylene (HDPE) formed under pressure into solid plastic components 3/8 inch thick. Components shall have machined edges to accept assembly brackets. Solid plastic locker components shall snap together for easy assembly and shall provide a solid and secure construction. Adjacent lockers shall share a common side panel. Door hinge shall be made from heavy duty extruded aluminum with a powder coating. Door hinge shall be full length assembled onto the door and front. Assembly brackets shall be full depth, width and height of the lockers. Coat hooks shall be two prong and made from high impact plastic. Hooks shall be mounted to the bottom of the shelf, one each per locker. Manufacturer shall warranty lockers for a period of 15 years; HDPE plastic panels, doors and shelves against rust and other types of corrosion or breakage under normal use.
