Description
CONTACT Thomas A. Egizi, AMSEL-LC-CCS-G-GN, (732) 427-3296. This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for NEW, Engine Diesel, NSN 2815-01-519-5534, Caterpillar P/N 212-9442, & NSN 2815-01-519-8694, Caterpillar P/N 212-3802, current source for this unit is Caterpillar Inc., Cage 11083. The Engines, Diesel is part of the 100 KW & 200 KW TQGs. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this unit is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-G-GN, Building 1200W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response should include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges for price breaks if applicable, part number & manufacturer (CAGE) of proposed parts, or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. The response should also include documentation such as copy of purchas e order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with these units from the supplier listed above. The Government will also consider this unit from oth er manufacturers that have the same form, fit, and function as the required part. Alternate units would have to pass extensive performance and qualification testing to ensure the parts meet the Militarys requirements, the cost and time of which would be c onsidered in the acquisition decision. The successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. Remanufactured engines will not be acceptable.
