Description
The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Executive Office for Air ASW, Assault & Special Mission Programs, Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems (PMA-273) and The Patuxent Partnership is hosting an unclassified Industry Day on Thursday 14 September at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center located at the Wildewood Professional and Technology Park in California MD. The event will provide an overview describing the future of Naval Aviation flight training within the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program. The morning session will specifically address the T-45 Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Services currently provided under contract number N0019-03-D-0010. These CLS services will be re-competed within the next two years and this session will provide an opportunity for early industry involvement in the Government?s proposed approach. The agenda will include a T-45TS CLS Program Brief which will address the following elements: (1) requirements overview, (2) baseline contract structure, (3) future concerns/issues, (4) constraints and areas for improvement, (5) milestone schedule, (6) point-of-contact for information and (7) guidance for providing feedback to the Government. The afternoon session will provide an overview of the various aircraft platforms and training systems of the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program, and future training plans based on the direction of CNATRA. Our intent is to allow interested industry participants an opportunity to review Government requirements and schedules and provide feedback. Read-ahead document(s) will be available on the website listed below. Please e-mail advance questions and/or comments pertaining to Industry Day or the read-ahead documentation to the Contracting Officer via the POC listed below. For planning purposes, firms interested in attending the conference are requested to register by 4 September 2006 by going to The Patuxent Partnership website at www.paxriver.org and using the links in the center of the homepage. Please note that separate registration is required for the morning (T-45 Contractor Logistics Support Services) and afternoon (Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program) sessions. Check-in for the T-45 CLS morning session will begin at 9:00 a.m. with presentations starting promptly at 9:30 a.m. and continuing through 11:30 a.m. Check-in for the afternoon PMA 273 Industry Day session will begin at noon with presentations running from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. This invitation to participate in the Industry Day conference is voluntary and does not constitute an invitation for bid or a request for proposal. The information presented, available at the website for download, or provided in response to Industry Day will not obligate the Government in any manner. The Government will not reimburse the attendees for any cost associated with participation or attending the Industry Day, and is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event.
