Description

Solicitation N00421-06-R-0062 is issued as a request for proposal. This action is being issued on a sole source basis under the authority FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-basis, to solicit, and negotiate the proposed RFP on a sole source basis to ViaSat Inc 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad CA. 92009-1602. The RFP is for a quantity of 2 MIDS LVT (4) Terminals Part # VA-018300 and quantity of 3 LVT-1 (4) Cooling Trays Part # 1027226. ViaSat is the only company capable of suppling the Navy with the item that meets the Government's minimum requirements of Defense Information Security Agency and Joint Interoperability Test Command certification. Award is expected not later than 30 September 2006 with delivery 8 months after award. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirment or submit proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
