Description

The Navy intends to issue a firm fixed-price order to Veraz Networks, Inc to procure on a sole source basis two (2) commercial Voice Compression Systems (VCS) to compress voice and data information to enable transmission over a satellite link. The VCS will provide up to 250 users with simultaneous secure communication and must be interoperable and compatible with the existing sites. The VCS will maintain the configuration management, interoperability and interchangeability with currently fielded systems. The systems require voice compression of 20:1. The VCS must be able to talk to currently fielded Veraz systems and support secure voice instruments without degradation and comply with the Defense Information Security Agency's (DISA) Joint Operability testing mandates. Only Veraz's system meets the Governments need for voice compression of 20:1. The required delivery date for these systems is 29 December 2006 and are to be shipped to NAWCAD, Bldg 8115 Villa Rd., St. Inigoes, MD 20684. No telephone responses will be accepted.
