Description
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intens to negotiate and award on an other than a competitive basis a fixed price supply contract with FXC Corporation, Santa Ana, CA for Automatic Actuation Devices (AAD) support equipment. AADs and theie respective support equipment are a critical component to the E-2C Parachute Survival Ensemble (PSE) developed under the NAWCWD China Lake Thin-Pack Project Office. The PSE is an improved parachute/survival system for E-2C aircrew members. The components when ordered will be provided as GFM by the Navy to Simula, Inc. located in Phoenix, AZ who is the sole source manufacturer of the E-2C PSE and its subassemblies. First components are needed to meet a 30 Dec 06 production schedule. This contract will be for 4 Lots Automatic Parachute Actuator Tester; 4 Lots Cocking Fixture; and 4 ea AAD Holding fixture. FOB Destination. FXC developed and retains proprietary rights to the AAD and its support equipment. Th! e solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEDBIZOPPS website at http://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 18 May 2006. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than from the source listed, will be required to submit information in writing to verify their prior experience in manufacturing automatic actuators that meet stringent tolerances.
