- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Dimension Metrology Standards Consortium, Arlington, TX, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source, to activate institutional membership to the DMS consortium. This is a sole source requirement as the contractor is the designated source in the Americas for renewing the membership and is solely responsible for collecting and administering its fees. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about Sept., 13, 2006 for a 3 year period commencing Oct. 1, 2006 with one 3 year option period. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
