- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Responses shall reference "Request for Quote No.DE-RQ52-06NA27604. This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. Offerors responding should indicate whether or not they are a small business, small woman-owned business, small disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business, service disabled veteran owned small business, 8(a) business, or HUBZone. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332993 with a corresponding qualifying size standard of 1,500 (indicates maximum allowed for a concern, including its affiliates, to be considered small). The DOE/NNSA Acquisition Department intends to purchase following line items: CLIN 0001 M433 40mm High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP) (IAW MIL-DTL -0050872D) Quantity 144 Each CLIN 0002 M67 Fragmentation Grenade (IAW MIL-DTL 9235492) Quantity 240 Each Desired Delivery: On or before 2/7/2007 Shipment of all explosives shall be in accordance with applicable federal regulations found at: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/safety-security/hazmat Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Hazardous Materials-Related Regulations Part 397 Transportation of Hazardous Materials; Driving and Parking Rules A motor carrier or other person to who this part is applicable must comply with the rules in Part 390 through 397, inclusive, of the subchapter when he/she is transporting hazardous materials by a motor vehicle which must be marked or placarded in accordance with 177.823 of this tile. Delivery Location: CENTRAL TRAINING FACILITY ATTN: JL DAVIS (865) 574-6069 1200 BEAR CREEK ROAD OAK RIDGE TN 37830 Shipment: All items must be packed and shipped in accordance with applicable federal regulations stated in MIL-DTL 9235492 and MIL-DTL -0050872D The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ??? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Only those Offerors who can furnish the items that meet all the requirements specified herein will be considered. Award will be made based on technically acceptable low price offered meeting the requirement; and price. All Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with the offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
