- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION, QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is 06EASPHEP060197. The Government intends to award a fixed-price, simplified acquisition, not exceeding $50,000. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 334310 and the size standard is 750 employees. The line items are as follows: (1) Provide one (1) year of on-site support, beginning in September 2006, for 10 Clarity Lion UXP video wall cubes, located at the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Operation Center (SOC) in Washington, DC. The serial numbers of the cubes are as follows: LUP0244001; LUP0244002; LUP0244003; LUP0244004; LUP0244005; LUP0244006; LUP0244007; LUP0244008; LUP0244009; LUP0244010. Service includes parts and labor. Maintenance agreement includes support for service calls (e.g., the end user places a service call when a problem occurs and a technician tries to guide them over the phone to correct the problem) and dispatch of technician to the SOC as necessary. (2) Initial service call includes replacing illumination towers (reference item 3), cleaning all units, updating firmware, color balancing the wall, preparing the units for ongoing maintenance, and reporting any found parts that need replacement. (3) Sheet metal illumination assembly (10 each). (4) Filters (10 each). The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (JAN 2006) applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall submit a fully executed copy of the provision at FAR 52.213-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (JUN 2006) with its quote.
