- Description
- The Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Pollock, Louisiana intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for Computer Literacy Instructor to provide keyboarding and micro computer application to the inmate population this location. The place of performance is the Federal Bureau of Prisons, FPC Pollock, located at 1000 Air Base Rd. Pollock LA, The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611420 (Size Standard: $6.0 million). The requirement for Computer Literacy Instructor shall consist of one position working an estimated 15 hours per week. The incumbent will instruct one (1), three (3) hour class, five days a week, Monday thru Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., for a minimum of 45 hours for Keyboarding and 165 hours for Micro Computer Application. The keyboarding class will run approximately one (1) month in length and the Micro Computer Application will run approximately five (5) months in length. Both programs will conducted a minimum of twice a year. The total number of sessions for a 12-month contract period is estimated at 30 Keyboarding sessions and 110 Micro Computer Application sessions. The contractor shall be a member of an accredited agency who possess the qualification to instruct the classes of the accredited agency. . The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation . The contract period shall consist of a 12 month period. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on/about August 31, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Service?s Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about September 15, 2006; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
