- The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX intends to negotiate and procure the following system IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source. Items will be purchased from Terumo Cardiovascular System, Inc., a small business, 6200 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI. Items consist of a Sarns 8000 Perfusion System (stock number 16401), and all items associated with this system; i.e., Safety Module, Air Senor, Level Detector, Roller Pump, Arterial Monitor, Cardioplegia, Battery Module. This system is replacement equipment and the VA will be allowed a trade-in allowance discount. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of commercial items utilizing the clause and provisions outlined in FAR Parts 12 & 13. Clauses stipulated herein may be downloaded via the internet at the following address: http://www.arnet.gov . This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation/request for offerors. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties have (7) days from the date of this posting (September 6, 2006, 4:00 P.M. CST) to submit their qualifications and capabilities in writing. Such qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications will not be accepted. If there are no responses to this notice within the time designated, this facility will commence negotiations with Terumo Cardiovascular Inc.
