Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subparts 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued; quotations are being requested and no further written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is F9S2M16222A100, a request for quotation for a ski overhaul program, and closes on, 8 September 2006, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-12. This procurement is set-aside one hundred percent small business with an assigned NAICS Code of 238320, which signifi es a small business size standard of thirteen million. The 109th Airlift Wing is soliciting the stripping of two main aircraft skis that are roughly five feet wide by twenty feet long and are coated with a polyurethane paint. Contractor is required to de paint the exterior of the ski top, side and bottom in accordance with technical order 1-1-8 chapter 2. The contractor must ensure finish removal is done in accordance with Depot Level requirements listed in chapter 2. The contractor may choose the method as long as it is in accordance with the technical order. Contractor must also apply a chromate conversion coating in accordance with chapter 3 of the technical order to areas that appear to need it. For planning purposes, assume a majority of the ski wi ll need this. Also remove the top panels and clear water rinse the interior of the ski to remove contaminants. It is not necessary to clean up oily deposits. Reinstall top panels after the interior is dry. Finally, make a note of any discrepancies foun d and report to the Government. The Vendor must be registered in the Central Vendor Registration (CCR) database. Registration may be done by assessing the CCR Web site at http://www.acq.osd.mil/ec. Proposals in response to this announcement shall be submitted to the 109th Airlift Wing, ATTN: Base Contracting Office, 1 Air National Guard Road, Scotia, NY 12302-9752. All quotations must be received on or before 8 September 2006, 4:00 p.m. Any quotat ions received after the 4:00 p.m. deadline will be determined late.
