Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a firm fixed price contract for the replacement of the Talmage Ave Bridge, raising of the bridge crest and construction of a temporary pedestrian bridge. This project includes approximately 1,820 ft of roadway improvements along Talmage Ave, East Main Street, Tea Street and Wheatland Ave. The levee north of Talmage Ave will be extended south approximately 520 ft to meet the roadway crest elevatio n near the intersection of Talmage Ave and Tea Street. A further levee extension approximately 155 ft will be constructed from Talmage Ave southward to tie into the New Jersey Transit Railroad embankment. A culvert approximately 1,020 ft will be construct ed under Talmage Ave and the New Jersey Transit Railroad embankment parallel to the Middle Brook to its outfall. At the request of the Contracting Officer prior to contract award, responsible bidders will be required to submit a Statement of Qualification s, which shall include detailed documentation and resumes demonstrating the Bidders prior relevant experience and its organizations ability to complete the renovation work. The selected contractor will be required to commence work within five (5) calendar days after date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), to prosecute said work diligently and to complete the entire work ready for use no later 912-calendar days after t he receipt of the NTP. This project is being solicited as an UNRESTRICTIVE procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 237310 with a Small Business Size standard of $31,000,000. The SIC Code is 1622. The estimated price range for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The media selected for the issuance of solicitations and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solici tation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. All vendors who want to access solicitations will be required to register with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) and Federal Data Technical Solution (FedTeDS) (www.fedteds.gov). Prospective contractors must be registered in the Departmen t of Defense CCR database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The new system called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS) is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal Agencies. There will be no automated email notification of amendments. To keep informed of changes, please check FedBizOpp s frequently. Some contractor tools are the following: 1) Register to receive Notification & Register as an Interested Vendor in FedBizOpps. 2) Utilize the Vendor Notification Service in ASFI. A hyperlink posted in FedBizOps will direct vendors to FedTe DS to download solicitations, Plans, Specifications and amendments. Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed. Utilization of the internet is the preferred method, however CDs will be available upon written request stating the solicitation number, or project name, complete company name and street address (we will not deliver to P.O. Boxes ), telephone and facsimile number (including area codes).
