Description
Solicitation for the possible standardization of Anesthesia Circuits. These products include, but are not limited to, a complete product line of Anesthesia Circuits and associated supplies. Those companies interested in a possible Regional Incentiv e Agreement (discounted DAPA pricing based on volume) with TRICARE Northwest Region must respond to the following questions: Clinical Criteria: 1. Does your company have latex free circuits available, to include mask and re-breathing bags 2. Provide a list of all adult corrugated circuits that your company can provide. Include the types of circuit wyes (bifurcated, parallel, swivel), available tubing configurations, (uni-limb and bi-limb), and types of elbows (plain, gas sampling, temperat ure port) that are available. 3. Provide a list of all adult expandable circuits that your company can provide. Include the types of circuit wyes (bifurcated, parallel, swivel), available tubing configurations, (uni-limb and bi-limb) and types of elbows (plain, gas sampling, temperatu re port) that are available. 4. Provide a list of all pediatric corrugated circuits that your company can provide. Include the types of circuit wyes (bifurcated, parallel, swivel), available tubing configurations, (uni-limb and bi-limb) and types of elbows (plain, gas sampling, tempe rature ports) that are available. 5. Provide a list of all pediatric expandable circuits that your company can provide. Include the types of circuit wyes (bifurcated, parallel, swivel), available tubing configurations, (uni-limb and bi-limb) and types of elbows (plain, gas sampling, temper ature port) that are available. 6. Discuss the accessories (all latex free) that your company can provide. Include the following as a minimum: a. Breathing Bag - 1 liter b. Breathing bag - 2 liter c. Breathing bag - 3 liter d. Breathing bag - 0.5 liter e. Anesthesia circuit tree f. Gas sampling line, 10, M/M g. Gas sampling line, w/Filter h. Gas sampling line, .8 micron filter i. Connecting Elbows (and dead space) that meet ISO 9360 standards 7. Provide a list of the sizes of anesthesia masks (air cushioned) that your company can supply and whether or not you provide scented pediatric masks. At a minimum, include: a. Neonate, b. Infant, Small c. Infant (#2) d. Child, Small (#3) e. Child (#4) f. Adult (#5) g. Adult, Large (#6) h. Adult, Wide Face (#5 Wide, #6 Wide) 8. Provide a list of the different circuit tubing hose lengths available (for circuits that are expandable, provide the packaged length and the maximum expanded length). 9. Discuss the Heat and Moisture Exchangers (HME, HME-F) and, Hygroscopic Condenser Humidifiers (HCH) that your company can provide. 10. Provide a list of the filters (and the specifications for patient application) that your company can provide which meet the following: a. Type of filtration efficiency (bacterial greater than 99% efficiency, Viral greater than 99%) b. Low weight (actual gram weight) c. Low resistance to flow Company Criteria: 1. Provide a list of anesthesia breathing circuitry kits that are available from your company. Please list the industry production and safety standards used in manufacturing your anesthesia circuits. 2. Does your company manufacture or distribute anesthesia circuits? If so, what brands? How are your circuits packaged? 3. Can your circuits be used with any manufacturers equipment? (i.e., circuits can be used on a variety of anesthesia machines). 4. Are your circuits latex free and hypoallergenic? 5. Does your company have a 1-800 number for customer questions and product representatives for each account? 6. Does your company have a clinical education program for customers? Please discuss the educational resources and tools for clinical use of your device that your company provides. 7. Does your company have a Distribution agreement with Cardinal Healthcare? 8. Does your co mpany currently possess a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia? If so, please provide the DAPA number. 9. Is your company large enough to satisfy product needs for the entire TRICARE Northwest (Washington and Alaska)? 10. Provide your companys return goods policy. 11. Discuss any issues your company has had with recalls and/or back orders of product. 12. Please provide MSDS information (if applicable). 13. Is your circuit all inclusive, i.e., contains circuitry, sampling port, bag, and HME filter in one easy-to-use package? 14. Does your company offer a program where facilities can customize their own circuit package? If so, please elaborate. 15. Is your product suitable for use in a field setting? 16. Describe your companys proposed implementation plan if you were to enter into an agreement with TRICARE Northwest.
