- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts, and award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the paving of an office parking lot (16,405 square feet) at Morgan Brake National Wildlife Refuge. Includes grading, leveling, removing excess gravel, installing 4" asphalt black base and compacting and overlaying with 2" of asphalt hot mix wearing course. Contractor will provide all equipment, materials and labor to complete the paving work. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code is 238990 and the size standard is $13 Million. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tenative date for issuance of Request for Quotes is 09/07/06 with a closing date of 09/27/06. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at http://fedbizopps.gov under RFQ 401816Q255. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Registration with the Fish and Wildlife Service for Electronic Commerce (EC) at the National Business Center (NBC) Web Site will also be required. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete the Online Representations and Certification Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet at (800)333-0505.
